Station 1Located at 303 S Main St (click for map) just south of Flemington Borough near Rts 202/31, it serves as Headquarters. The station includes a meeting room/classroom, TV room, workout equipment, and main offices. It also has a kitchen, radio room, and storage rooms. The structure was built during the years 1959-1960. All of the planning and construction was done by the members of the fire company. Equipment and much of the materials were donated. The original building was a four-bay firehouse. In 1964, some modifications were made. Two of the bays were enclosed. The doors were removed and the openings filled in with block. An interior wall was also created at this time, forming a separate area from the bays. This became our present day meeting/classroom. During construction, the wall on the north side of the building was opened up and two new bays were built onto the existing building. To accomodate the growing sizes in fire apparatus, both bays were enlarged in height and length. Presently, Station 1 houses 21-82 (brush unit), 21-64 (engine), 21-81 (special services unit), and 21-69 (tower ladder). Fire police and duty officer vehicles are also kept at this station. |

Station 3The newest of the current three stations and located at the intersection of Barley Sheaf Rd & Voorhees Corner Rd on the township's east side, station 3 was built in the early 1990's. Its appearance is interesting -designed to better fit in the residential setting of the nearby developments. This station has two apparatus bays, a kitchen-type area, shower, locker rooms, and two large offices located on the second floor. Two "Firsts" for the company with Station 3: the first two-floor fire station and the first fully sprinklered house. Due to the sprinkler system, this building has been mentioned in fire service magazines. |
